Basilio Perugini, Jr. (SPL firm manager) received his law degree from La Sapienza University of Rome in 1969, and was admitted to the Rome Bar Association in 1972.
Since 1987 he has been a member of the Italian Supreme Court Bar Association (patrocinante in Cassazione), which permits him to try cases before the Italian Supreme Court.
He has also been a member of the Auditor’s Association (Registro dei revisori contabili) since it was first established in 1995.
Basilio has been an active attorney in his Rome-based law firm for over forty years, developing professional expertise in civil, criminal and administrative law.
He has been legal consultant to many prominent companies and institutions, including the regional government of Calabria, several banks, as well as naval shipping and chemical companies.
He served as legal advisor to the minister of Southern Italy from 1972-1974.
He is a past member of the Board of Directors of ITAL.F.IM.AS spa.
He has been a member of the Lions Clubs International since 1984 with the Lions Club Roma Capitolium, with which he has sponsored several charity initiatives including a fundraiser that raised enough to donate four high-tech surgical devices for heart surgeries to the Rome’s pediatric hospital Bambino Gesù.
He was district president in charge of relations with the City of Rome in 2002-03, and he negotiated the agreement between the Lions Clubs of Roma and the City of Rome signed in February 2003.
Basilio is the founder and president of the non-profit organization Impegno Civico, active in Italian political, cultural and social life, whose honorary president is former Italian Foreign Minister Franco Frattini.
